Solargain is offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic, fully accredited electrician looking to utilise their industry expertise and installation skills to conduct Solar PV installation and servicing as a full-time technician based in the northern suburbs of Perth.

Duties:

  • Installation of solar PV systems for residential and commercial projects.
  • Upgrading pre-existing solar PV systems.
  • Audits on solar PV systems and compliance analysis.
  • Fault finding/diagnosis of solar PV system issues and problem solving.
  • Maintenance of solar PV systems and completing maintenance reports.
  • Scheduling and undertaking customer site visits.
  • Completion of job files and compliance documentation.
  • Undertaking site inspections.
  • Liaising with internal parties regarding warranty replacement stock.

Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  • Strong understanding of (and experience in) the latest compliance requirements and practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various inverter configurations and setup.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of solar module configuration and array design. 
  • Ability to work around complex designs and offer configuration solutions when required.
  • A positive "can do" attitude.
  • Great telephone manner and enjoy helping customers.
  • Neat presentation and customer-focused.
  • Excellent time management, reporting and computing skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Requirements:

  • A Grade WA Electrician licence.
  • Construction Induction Card and Working at Heights.
  • CEC Install & Design Accreditation (Preferred).
  • Drivers Licence.
  • Successful applicants will hold a current police clearance or be able to provide one within one month of commencing employment.
  • The position is limited to Australian citizens &/or persons that have a legal, valid right to work in Australia.

Health, Safety & Quality Manager

Solargain is looking to recruit an experienced health, safety, quality manager who will be responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance and certification of Solargain’s ISO 9001 and AS/NS 4801:2001 systems.

This nationally focused role will play an important function in advising senior and branch management on all aspects of health, safety and quality and will suit candidates looking for hands on role and who enjoy interacting with all areas and levels of the business.

Duties

  • Ensure that QMS & WHS management systems and practices are developed, maintained and continually improved according to company and legislative requirements and any relevant government standards
  • To maintain ISO9001 certification for the national business and apply the system to all regions of the business as deemed appropriate by the management team
  • To act as Internal Auditor for Quality and Safety Management Systems ensuring compliance with the system.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 Years QMS / WHS management experience
  • Excellent understanding of ISO:9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Excellent understanding of As/NZS 4801:2001 Safety Management Systems and WH&S principals and regulations
  • Microsoft Visio Skills and SharePoint (Preferred)

Requirements

  • RABQSA-AU- Management System Auditing
  • Cert IV  in Workplace Health & Safety (Diploma/Advanced Diploma Preferred)
  • Other quality and safety qualifications viewed favourably
