About the Role

Solargain has a new position open for an Installation Manager in our Port Melbourne branch. If you are a strong team leader and want to take an opportunity in the new and exciting industry of renewables, we want to hear from you.

Duties

  • Management of installation personnel 
  • Management of local stock
  • Reporting direct to local Branch Manager and working with Logistics & Procurement Manager to coordinate purchases, stock transfers ect.
  • Ensuring installation are being conducted at a high level of performance and competence.

Skills & Experience

  • Experienced Electrical background with Electrical License is preferred
  • Solar experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Professional & responsive, with a can-do attitude.
  • An interest in sustainable and renewable energy.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills.

Requirements

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – COMMERCIAL SOLAR

Solargain has invested in a highly skilled, dedicated Commercial sales division which, from a predominantly WA base, has grown to be a market leader for Commercial solar Australia wide.  We are now looking to duplicate our success in Victoria.

Role

Based in Port Melbourne, we are looking for energetic and highly professional Sales/Business Development Manager to join our Commercial division.  You will be meeting with prospective commercial solar customers, advising them on renewable energy efficiency and tariff solutions that best meet their needs.  You will be the first point of contact with the customer, demonstrating your professionalism and experience to grow an active customer base and to develop new sales.

Reporting to the National Business Development Manager for Solargain’s Commercial division, we are looking for a sales professional who is interested in genuine long-term career prospects.  We see this role as a pivotal appointment and are looking for someone who can lead and grow our Commercial division in Victoria.

You will be supported by a strong team of self-confessed solar addicts, consisting of highly experienced and qualified engineers, business developers, project managers and support staff.

Skills & Experience

You will be highly regarded if you have a:

  • Proven track record of growing and supporting sales in the renewable energy or energy supply sectors
  • Proactive sales approach, looking for the next sale even if the lead is provided or not
  • The ability to manage key accounts as well as constantly hunting for new revenue opportunities
  • A strong technical understanding of the distributor/retailer requirements in Victoria

Remuneration

For the right candidate we are offering:

  • Generous base salary including vehicle allowance
  • Uncapped gross margin based commission

Based in Port Melbourne, you will be based in the service department providing the necessary support and assistance to customers who are seeking warranty and service advice, you will be required to determine the correct course of action and record all details in our CRM.

Duties

  • Diagnosing faults and checking customer's yields over the phone.
  • Booking appointments for technicians and managing their schedules/commitments.
  • Processing of Stock transactions used for service and warranty.
  • Ordering and assignment of warranty stock.
  • Invoicing suppliers and contractors for service and stock related charges.
  • EOM duties including stock count.
  • Upselling systems where and when applicable

Skills & Experience

  • Solar experience is preferred but not essential.
