Is your Aero-Sharp inverter producing a Grid Volt Error?

What is a Grid Volt Error?

A Grid Volt Error in your Aero-Sharp inverter means that the AC fuse may have blown or the AC board may have failed. If the AC fuse is replaced and it immediately blows again, it means there’s a short on the AC board and your inverter will need to be replaced.

Is a Grid Volt Error covered under warranty or by my household insurance policy?

Aero-Sharp installed inverters in Australia between 2008 and 2011. They went out of business in 2012. Most models had a 5-year warranty, now expired.

If your Aero-Sharp inverter needs replacing, is still under warranty and was installed by Solargain, we’ll honour your warranty with an equivalent replacement inverter. You’ll still need to book an inverter health check, as the manufacturer’s warranty doesn’t cover the call out fee.

Depending on your individual policy, you may be able to claim this kind of fault under your household insurance.

How do I fix a Grid Volt Error?

Call Solargain to resolve your Grid Volt Error by booking your system in for an inverter health check. Our technicians will replace the AC fuse and if necessary, replace the faulty unit, all in the one visit.

If your inverter is no longer covered by warranty or if another installer fitted it, you’ll need to cover the cost of a replacement inverter. A Fronius Galvo inverter is a great replacement, especially if you’re on a higher fee-in tariff, as it’s the same size and topology as your current inverter. Alternative models are available but may require additional labour to the rest of the system.

Call Solargain today on 1300 73 93 55 or complete this form to book your inverter health check and get your system back up and running.
