Oh no! Have you spotted a ‘DC INJ High’ fault in your Solar King SLK Inverter?

What is a DC INJ High fault?

A DC INJ High fault in your SLK inverter means the DC power levels your system is outputting are too high.

Is a DC INJ High fault covered under warranty or by my insurance?

Solar King inverters come with a five-year warranty. However, since they were no longer installed in Australia after 2012, you’ll need to check if yours is still under warranty. If it is still covered, you can disconnect the inverter yourself and bring it into your nearest Solargain office, where we’ll replace it with a warranty unit. If your system wasn’t initially installed by Solargain, this will incur a fee to cover international freight for the repair. Alternatively, we can come and disconnect it for you, and swap it over as part of an inverter health check.

It is unlikely your household insurance policy will cover this kind of fault.

How do I fix a DC INJ High fault?

The quickest and easiest way of resolving a DC INJ High fault in your SLK inverter is to book an inverter health check with Solargain. We’ll send one of our qualified technicians to confirm that the DC INJ High fault is what’s causing the problem. In most cases, this kind of fault cannot be repaired. This means we will need to replace your unit with a new inverter. We will assess the size of your old system, your current tariff arrangements and whether any re-wiring is required. Based on these details, we will then recommend the most suitable replacement for your circumstances.
