Modern Delta solar inverters are complex units that need to be repaired properly if you want them to remain effective. At Solargain, we use a thorough Delta inverter service procedure that ensures your inverter is repaired quickly, correctly and in the most cost-effective manner.

In most cases, after our specially-trained technicians visit your property and inspect your inverter, they’ll source replacement parts from the manufacturer, repair the faulty parts themselves or, if needed, recommend a new system. Whatever the situation may be, we’ll put your inverter through a number of performance and safety tests before it’s signed off and returned to active service in your home.

Solar power makes for a brilliant long-term investment that can help you substantially cut your greenhouse emissions and electricity bills. In order to ensure you’re receiving the greatest efficiency out of your system, we strongly recommend that you monitor it regularly. One of the most important parts of this process is checking your yield.

Checking your yield - use this guide to get started!

If you have a Delta inverter there should be a green operation light on when the system is running normally during the day. To check your inverter’s performance, follow the directions below.

Along the bottom of your screen there are four buttons which we refer to as A, B, C and D. See below for the corresponding button locations.

  • To light the display press button D.
  • Now use button B or C to navigate through the menu options. There are seven menu items.
  • The two pages which provide the best indication of performance are Menu D (Day) and Menu T (Total).
  • To assist your navigation through the menu, you can view the order of the menu items below.
  • Once you have highlighted the appropriate menu item, use the D button to enter it.
  • Once Menu D (Day) has been selected, scroll down once using button C.
  • This will bring you to - D->Energy Value WH.

The Day figure refers to the amount of watts per hour (Wh) you have produced today. Since it is a daily reading, the best indication of production will be towards the end of the day, before the sun goes down. You can check this figure against ones provided to you in your Solargain Customer User Manual, which you received in a black handover folder on the day of installation. If you’re struggling to find the manual, call us on 1300 73 93 55 and we’ll send a new one to you.

Once Menu T (Total) has been selected, scroll down once using button C. This will bring you to T-> Energy Value (kWh). This figure is a cumulative total of kilowatt hours produced since your system’s  initial installation. To work out your average monthly production record the difference between your T (Total) figure at the start and end of each month.

For example:

  • E-Total on 1st January is 1100
  • E-Total on 1st February is 1300

January’s Monthly Yield is therefore 200 units (1300 less 1100).

January’s Average Daily Yield is, therefore, 6.45kwh (200 monthly yields divided by 31 days in January).

Like the D (Day) figure, this data can also be compared to the yield estimates in your Solargain Customer User Manual to check for low production rates.

Sometimes in the morning and late afternoon as your inverter turns on or off, it will display a yellow failure light. You may also notice that it’s making a clicking noise. These are just parts of normal operation. You should also note that the inverter’s sound increases as it works harder and produces more wattage. Any internal issues with the inverter will be detected by the device and will cause the failure light to be displayed permanently, so you shouldn’t be too worried until this has occurred.

If there is ample sunlight outside and your inverter is displaying a failure signal, you will need to conduct a reset. Instructions explaining how to reset your inverter are available from our website. If, after resetting your inverter, the failure light is still on, please retrieve the error code displayed on the screen as well as the serial number from the side of your unit. Then contact us on 1300 73 93 55 and we will happily assist you to resolve the issue.

Please note - if you have no power in your house due to a blackout, your inverter will not work until the grid has been restored.
